Keaton Winn Lands On 15-Day Injured List
5 months agoThe San Francisco Giants placed right-hander Keaton Winn (elbow) on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to June 21) on Saturday with right-elbow inflammation. Winn will head to the shelf after allowing five earned runs on five hits (one homer) while walking one and striking out two in just 2 2/3 innings in a loss to the St. Louis Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Alabama on Thursday. It's the second time that the 26-year-old has been on the injured list already this year, and it leaves the Giants' starting rotation dangerously thin. It's unclear who will replace Winn in the rotation as we head closer to the All-Star break next month. Winn hasn't even been much of an option in NL-only leagues in 2024, as he's gone 3-8 with a bloated 7.16 ERA and 1.37 WHIP with 48 strikeouts and 20 walks in 55 1/3 innings over his 12 starts in his second year in the big leagues.
