Justin Jefferson Comes Off The Board At No. 22 To Vikings
5 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings selected LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday. The Vikings traded Stefon Diggs to the Bills this offseason, so Jefferson will immediately help fill the receiving void for quarterback Kirk Cousins alongside Adam Thielen. Jefferson had an unbelievable career in college. Thielen typically works the slot in Minnesota, though, and Jefferson spent most of his time there with the LSU Tigers. He can stretch the field vertically and is excellent in yards after the catch. He reminds some of Chargers wideout Keenan Allen in his ability to separate. There is opportunity in the passing game in Minnesota, so Jefferson could be one of the most productive rookie receivers in 2020. He'll be a popular dynasty/keeper pick and should also be a late-round flier in redraft formats in his new home.
