6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Justin Jackson (hamstring), the seventh-round pick that has missed three preseason games with a hamstring injury, is expected to play in the preseason finale this Thursday against the 49ers. Jackson is Northwestern's career rushing leader, and he has impressed the coaching staff when he's been able to practice. With Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler the top two backs, Jackson is competing with Russell Hansbrough and fellow rookie Detrez Newsome for the No. 3 job heading into the regular season.
