6 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies placed first baseman Justin Bour on waivers on Wednesday as they trim their 40-man roster ahead of the Rule 5 protection deadline next Tuesday. Bour hit 19 home runs but only .227 in 112 games with the Marlins in 2018, but he lost mostly all of his fantasy value with the trade to the Phils, where he hit just one homer in 49 at-bats as a pinch hitter/bench bat down the stretch. Bour has plenty of power -- he's hit the 20-homer mark in three of the last four years -- but he'll likely find himself in a platoon role wherever he lands because of his poor splits against lefties.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
