12 months agoThe Chicago White Sox signed free-agent right-hander Justin Anderson to a minor-league deal on Wednesday. Anderson made his big-league debut with the Los Angeles Angels in 2018 but hasn't appeared in the majors since 2019. The 31-year-old reliever wasn't good over three minor-league levels with the Kansas City Royals in 2023, posting a 6.87 ERA and 1.47 WHIP with 20 walks and 59 strikeouts in 36 2/3 innings over 24 appearances (one start) in the Arizona Complex League and with Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha. In 111 outings out of the bullpen with the Angels in 2018 and 2019, Anderson allowed 57 runs (54 earned) while walking 32 and striking out 60 in 47 frames. He'll operate as organizational relief depth for the Pale Hose in 2024.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
