Jurickson Profar 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Looking To Build Off A Career Year With A New Team
1 week agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Jurickson Profar is coming off his best season with the San Diego Padres in 2024, which earned him a three-year, $42 million contract with the Braves. During the 2024 season, Profar posted a stellar .280/.380/.459 slash line with 24 home runs, 85 RBI, and 94 runs scored. All of those numbers were career-bests for Profar by a landslide. Profar ranked in the 90th percentile for batting run value, xwOBA, xBA, chase percentage, and whiff percentage, which led to an 11.4% walk rate and a 15.1% strikeout rate, both significantly above-average ranks. In addition, the power surge made him an excellent option for fantasy managers in both points and category leagues. Entering the 2025 season, Profar will join a lineup that includes Ronald Acuna Jr., Michael Harris II, Austin Riley, Matt Olson, Ozzie Albies, and Marcell Ozuna. He should garner plenty of opportunities to put up similar numbers, if not better, in 2025. While some signs point towards regression in 2025 after a career year, it's hard to ignore his situation and performance in 2024. Fantasy managers looking to find a strong outfield option should target him at his 206.0 ADP on NFBC, which aligns with his 196 overall ranking at RotoBaller.
