Jung Ho Kang To Have Season-Ending Surgery
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Jung Ho Kang (wrist) will have season-ending wrist surgery that will keep him out for around three months, according to a source. The Pirates have a $5.5 million option on Kang for next year, so he may be playing for another team in 2019. Kang hasn't played in each of the last two MLB seasons due to DUI issues in Korea, and now his wrist injury will hold him out until next year. He's an intriguing case, though, as he managed 21 home runs and 62 RBI in just 103 games for Pittsburgh in 2016.
