Juan Soto Shouldn't Be Out Long With Shoulder Injury
4 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder strain on Tuesday. Following the news of the injury, Nationals manager Dave Martinez stated that he was optimistic that the injury was nothing serious. The Nationals seem to mostly be playing things safe with Soto. Nationals beat writer Mark Zuckerman believes the team "decided not to take any chances this early in the season, take advantage of off-days on schedule." Through 14 games this year, Soto is slashing .300/.410/.460 with two home runs, eight RBI and 11 runs. Andrew Stevenson figures to see an increase in playing time while Soto is out.
