Josh Rogers To Make One More Start
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter said that starting pitcher Josh Rogers will make one more start before being shut down for the year. Rogers held his own in his big league debut against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, earning the win while allowing three runs in five innings. The left-hander came over from the Yankees midseason in the deal involving reliever Zach Britton. Rogers was 8-9 in the minors with a 3.54 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 6.5 K/9 over 24 starts. He's not listed among the Orioles top 30 prospects but could compete for a rotation spot next year. Rogers isn't a recommended streamer in his second big league start.
