Josh Reynolds On Track To Start In 2020
5 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Josh Reynolds is on track to join Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp as a full-time starter in 2020 after the team traded Brandin Cooks to the Texans. Reynolds is the heir apparent to Cooks as a deep threat, even after the Rams selected wide receiver Van Jefferson in the third round of the draft. “We would not have made the move on Brandin Cooks had it not been for the confidence we have in Josh Reynolds,” head coach Sean McVay said. Selected in the fourth round in 2017, Reynolds (6-foot-3, 196 pounds) has a smooth stride, deceptive speed and great body control. He has 61 catches for 832 yards and seven touchdowns in his career, but he's done most of his damage when either Kupp or Cooks have been injured in recent seasons. With LA expected to use a lot of two-tight end sets with Gerald Everett and Tyler Higbee, Reynolds figures to be fighting an uphill battle for consistent targets.
