Josh Jacobs Plans To Hold Out If No Deal Is Done By Monday
2 years agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs doesn't plan to show up for the start of training camp later this month if a deal isn't done by the deadline on Monday to sign franchise-tagged players to long-term contract extensions, according to a source close to Jacobs. Otherwise, Jacobs said he's "feeling great" this offseason, doesn't have any injuries and feels "explosive." If the two sides don't agree on an extension by Monday, the 25-year-old would have to sit out in 2023 or play under the one-year franchise tag. Jacobs surprisingly stayed healthy for a full season and led the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards and added 12 TDs on 340 carries in 2022. Jacobs remains at least a midrange RB1 in fantasy, but most folks are expecting a slight step back, especially if he holds out for a good chunk of time in training camp.
