Josh Hader Won't Pitch In Game 2
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Josh Hader will not pitch in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series against the Dodgers on Saturday after pitching three clean innings in the Game 1 win on Friday. Hader led all of baseball and set a franchise relief record with 143 regular season strikeouts. Manager Craig Counsell only used Hader five times on back-to-back days this year, including three times in August. Hader tossed a season-high 46 pitches in Game 1, so he won't be an option in Game 2. With two days of rest, he'll be available in Game 3 in Los Angeles on Monday. He can be a huge weapon in this series against LA, who were much more vulnerable against left-handers this year.
