Josh Gordon To Be Targeted More
6 years agoThe Cleveland Browns are expected to target wide receiver Josh Gordon more in Week 2 against the Saints. “No doubt,” head coach Hue Jackson said. “Josh, when he’s going like we know he can, he has an opportunity to make plays. He’s got to continue to work to be in the right spot. We’ve got to give him opportunities, and I think we’ll do that.” Gordon played 69 of the offense's 89 snaps (78 percent) in the Week 1 tie with the Steelers, but he was targeted just three times and finished with one catch for a 17-yard touchdown. In a much better matchup against a Saints team that allowed 48 points to Bucs quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in Week 1, Gordon has WR2 upside and should be started in most leagues.
