Josh Gordon To Apply For Reinstatement
5 years agoSuspended wide receiver Josh Gordon will apply for reinstatement soon, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Gordon has been doing well, is working out and is ready to resume playing in 2020. The goal is to get him cleared to return before training camp this summer. He's currently able to sign with any team after appearing in enough games with the Seahawks last year to satisfy his contractual obligations to become an unrestricted free agent. The 29-year-old had 1,646 receiving yards back in 2013 despite missing two games, so he has special talent. But he didn't play at all in 2015 or 2016 and played in five games with the Browns in 2017, 12 with the Patriots in 2018 and 11 with Seattle in 2019. There's still potential for Gordon to be fantasy relevant, but it'll depend on where he lands and what his role will be. Stay tuned.
