Josh Doctson Not A Lock To Make Final Roster
5 years agoWashington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden was non-committal on whether wide receiver Josh Doctson would make the final roster. Doctson will not play in the preseason finale on Thursday either. The team has been high on receivers Paul Richardson, Trey Quinn and rookies Terry McLaurin and Kelvin Harmon. Cam Sims and Robert Davis missed most of last year with injuries, but the club is also high on them. Special teams play might dictate the final decisions. Doctson, a first-round pick in 2016, has been plagued by injuries and has caught only 81 passes in three seasons. It remains to be seen if the 'Skins will keep Doctson around, but in a weak offense, he won't be worth rostering in standard-sized leagues even if they keep him around.
