Josh Bell Scratched Thursday
4 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Josh Bell was scratched from Thursday's lineup for undisclosed reasons. Ryan Zimmerman is now starting at first base and is hitting cleanup against Miami Marlins right-hander Cody Poteet. Check back for more updates on why Bell isn't playing on Thursday evening. Consider him day-to-day for now. The 28-year-old switch-hitter is batting just .228/.292/.437 on the season, but he does have 10 home runs and 32 RBI in 197 at-bats for the Nats. Zimmerman, 36, continues to get it done with a .272/.300/.520 slash line and eight home runs and 20 RBI in just 125 at-bats and will be a low-cost DFS option worth considering while hitting in the middle of Washington's lineup on Thursday.
