5 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays moved relief pitcher Jose Alvarado from the family medical emergency list to the restricted list on Sunday because he maxed out the seven days on the emergency list. Manager Kevin Cash said Alvarado could return on Monday or Tuesday. The left-hander last pitched on June 1, but he should be back in Tampa's mix for saves early next week alongside Diego Castillo and Emilio Pagan. While Alvarado's usage as a closer has been frustrating for fantasy owners, he's been effective with a 3.09 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, six saves and 32 K's in 23 1/3 innings.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
