Jose Altuve Undergoes Right Knee Surgery
6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (knee) underwent surgery on his right knee, according to a source. The six-time All-Star fought through a knee injury for most of the second half of the season and the playoffs, initially injuring the knee sliding into second base in July in Colorado. He's expected to make a full recovery and be ready for spring training. Altuve hit .316 with 13 homers and 61 RBI in 137 games this year. While the counting stats were a bit down, it was also because it was the first time he didn't play at least 150 games. While there's a bit more pause as to whether Altuve can continue his elite-caliber play, he should remain one of the top second basemen off the board in the early rounds of fantasy drafts.
