Jose Altuve Day-To-Day With Hamstring Injury
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (hamstring) is listed as day-to-day after leaving the game early on Friday with left hamstring discomfort. Altuve's fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief that this wasn't a serious injury. He also had single in his only plate appearance before leaving. Coming into the game, however, Altuve was hitting just .200 (6-for-30) with no homers and one RBI in the month of May (eight games). The pint-sized infielder does have nine home runs, but he's stolen only one base and is hitting just .238 on the season. As long as he stays healthy, Altuve should be able to improve on his average considerably.
