Jose Altuve Breaking Out Of His Slump
2 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve had a big day at the plate on Saturday, going 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored to help his club win Game 2 of the World Series 5-2 against the Philadelphia Phillies. The former MVP started the postseason in an 0-for-25 slump and is batting just .171 with four runs and no RBI but is seven for his last 18. Altuve had a phenomenal season at the dish, slashing .300/.387/.533 with 28 home runs, 57 RBI and 103 runs, and he stole 18 bases, the most since 2017. The 32-year-old is one of the best hitters in the series and should continue proving that going forward.
