Jorge Soler Still Absent From Starting Lineup
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder/designated hitter Jorge Soler (hip) remains out of action on Sunday against the Washington Nationals. Jake Burger will serve as the designated hitter again and hit third, with Jesus Sanchez in right field and batting sixth against Nationals right-hander Josiah Gray. This will be Soler's fifth straight game on the bench, and if he doesn't improve soon, there's a chance he'll be placed on the injured list. With not much time left in the regular season, that would be a pretty big blow to the Marlins and fantasy managers that have been counting on the 31-year-old's elite power. Miami has an off day coming on Monday, so hopefully Soler will be feeling better on Tuesday for the start of a series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. If he's not ready by then, he'll likely need an IL stint.
