Jorge Soler Dealing With Back Injury
2 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jorge Soler (back) was removed from Friday's game early against the Pittsburgh Pirates when his back stiffened up, according to manager Don Mattingly. "We'll get some testing done and see where we're at," Mattingly said. Soler went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a strikeout before leaving the game. For now, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day, but don't be surprised if he's not in the starting lineup on Saturday. If Soler is forced to miss time or go on the injured list, Bryan De La Cruz would likely be the primary beneficiary of extra playing time. Soler is hitting just .207 on the year with a .295 on-base percentage, but he does have 13 home runs and 34 RBI in 270 at-bats.
