6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates shortstop Jordy Mercer (calf) has been activated from the disabled list on Wednesday and is in the starting lineup at shortstop while hitting eighth. With Mercer back in action, Adeiny Hechavarria will go back to a bench role. Mercer is mainly just a middle infield option in NL-only leagues, as he's hitting .262 with only six homers and 37 RBI on the season.
