6 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Jordy Mercer (quadriceps) took ground balls and went through agility drills with head athletic trainer Doug Teter before the game on Wednesday. He may play in a few rehab games first, but Mercer is eligible to come off the injured list on Saturday. Mercer is a glove-first guy that doesn't move the needle much in fantasy. He was hitting only .206 (13-for-63) with a homer and three RBI before his injury. With Ronny Rodriguez tearing it up at the plate in his absence, it's fair to wonder how much Mercer will even play when he returns.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
