6 years agoThe Detroit Tigers placed starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann (elbow) on the 10-day injured list on Friday with a right elbow sprain. He allowed five runs on five hits while walking three in three innings against the Red Sox on Thursday night. He is expected to be out three to four weeks, according to a sports medicine professional. Zimmermann had two strong outings to open the season but has since fallen flat. He's 0-4 with a 5.93 ERA and 1.35 WHIP on the year. Considering his age, he could be out longer than three to four weeks. He's not a must-stash in AL-only leagues and should be left to the waiver wire everywhere else.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
