Jordan Romano Has Mild Ankle Sprain
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Jordan Romano (ankle) has what manager Charlie Montoyo describes as a mild left ankle sprain, although the Blue Jays expect him to be ready for Opening Day next week. Romano sprained his ankle while walking his dog. It's something for fantasy managers to watch, but it shouldn't affect the 28-year-old fantasy status as the Blue Jays expected closer to begin the 2022 season. He converted 23 of his 24 save chances last year for Toronto while posting a solid 2.14 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 85 strikeouts and 25 walks in 63 relief innings. Romano is currently ranked by RotoBaller just inside the top-10 fantasy relievers at No. 9.
