Jordan Romano Converts His Sixth Save
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano recorded his MLB-leading sixth save on Sunday as he closed out the team's 4-3 victory over the Oakland Athletics. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning in the game, allowing no hits and one walk. The 28-year-old has converted each of his six save opportunities this season and he has yet to allow a run over six innings. Romano had a breakout year with the Jays last year, recording 23 saves across 24 opportunities. He looks well on his way to turning in an elite closer season for fantasy managers in 2022.
