Jordan Reed Still In Concussion Protocol
5 years agoWashington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed remains in the concussion protocol, but head coach Jay Gruden is hopeful that Reed will do some work in practice on Wednesday. Reed has a very extensive history of concussions in the NFL, so it'd be foolish to expect him to suit up in Week 1 on the road against the Eagles. It'll come down to how much practice he gets in this week and whether he's able to clear the concussion protocol. In an offense with a sketch offensive line and mediocre QB (Case Keenum), Reed is, at best, a TE2 with upside if he's healthy. There's so much risk here that most fantasy owners avoided him entirely in drafts. Vernon Davis would have some low-end TE2 appeal in Week 1 if Reed doesn't play.
