Jordan Howard Needs More Carries
6 years agoChicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy acknowledged that running back Jordan Howard could stand to see a few more carries, but the team will need to be leading in the fourth quarter for that to happen. Through two weeks, 11 players have more carries than Howard's 29 and 11 also have more rushing yards than his 58.5. Howard had 14 carries for 35 yards in the Week 2 win over Seattle on Monday night. A lot will depend on the development of quarterback Mitch Trubisky and whether he can be more consistent and move the offense down the field, but Howard should continue to get his touches each and every week. He remains a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 for Week 3 in a great matchup against the Cardinals.
