Jonathan Quick Reaches Milestone Win Friday
2 years agoLos Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick had a special night on Friday, beating the Islanders 3-2 for his 370th career win, which puts him ahead of Tom Barrasso for sole possession of the third most among U.S.-born netminders. Quick needed to produce just 16 saves to get there, with Phillip Danault, Arthur Kaliyev and Gabriel Vilardi providing the offense. The 37-year-old now needs five more victories to move past John Vanbiesbrouck and grab second place among American goalies. Ryan Miller has the all-time record with 391 wins. Quick has gone 11-12-4 this season mainly as a backup, allowing 3.44 goals per game with a .879 save percentage and one shutout.
