3 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas went full Stephen Curry against the Clippers on Monday, shooting 7-for-8 from downtown en route to a career-high 39 points in a 123-104 win. He notched 29 of his points in the first half and finished with 15-for-24 shooting overall, adding 15 rebounds to his line with three assists and two steals. Valanciunas had been fairly quiet in recent games and this was a spectacular way to end a slump. He could go on to have a couple of more huge games this week, with the Pelicans facing Dallas twice in three days. The Mavericks own the worst defensive record in the league against opposing centers, and they are also among the league's worst rebounding sides.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
