Jon Berti Steals A Base In Rehab Game
2 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Jon Berti (groin) went 0-for-3 with a walk, two strikeouts and a stolen base while playing third base and hitting leadoff on Sunday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Jacksonville. Berti started his rehab assignment in the minors this weekend as he works his way back from a left groin strain that landed him on the injured list in the middle of July. Fantasy managers should continue to stash him, considering he's still leading the majors with his 28 stolen bases. The 32-year-old is also hitting .271/.365/.375 with two home runs, 19 RBI and 32 runs scored in 222 plate appearances over 58 games this year for the Fish. Barring a setback on his rehab assignment, Berti should rejoin Miami at some point this week.
