2 years agoMiami Marlins utility infielder Jon Berti has missed the last two games with lower-extremity tightness, but manager Don Mattingly is optimistic about baseball's stolen base leader returning on Wednesday. "He's been dealing with it, but I feel like the two days is going to be really beneficial," Mattingly said. "He's a guy that we don't want to lose at this point. He's been too valuable, does too many things. To push him today didn't make any sense." The 32-year-old has been a bright spot for the Fish and fantasy managers in 2022, but he has gone 2-for-23 over his last six games. Berti has a league-leading 25 stolen bases to go along with a .268/.363/.378 slash line and two home runs, 18 RBI and 29 runs scored.
