John Hicks Out 3-6 Weeks
6 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher/first baseman John Hicks (hips) had successful surgery on Thursday on both of his hips. He will be out three to six weeks, ending his 2018 season. Hicks saw an everyday role once Miguel Cabrera was done for the year, but he didn't do much with it, hitting .260 with nine home runs and 32 RBI in 288 at-bats. He can be dropped in all leagues if he wasn't already. Jim Adduci figures to see most of the playing time at first base moving forward, but he's only a candidate to own in AL-only formats.
