3 years agoThe Miami Marlins placed third baseman Joey Wendle (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list on Friday with a right hamstring strain and activated third baseman Brian Anderson from the COVID-19 injured list in a corresponding move. Wendle's IL placement is retroactive to May 12. Wendle left the game early on Wednesday with more right hamstring tightness. It's a blow to the Marlins, as he was hitting a solid .304 with two home runs and four stolen bases over 87 plate appearances. It's unknown if Wendle will be ready to return from the IL when he's eligible. Anderson is starting at the hot corner and batting seventh on Friday against Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Corbin Burnes. He should see most of his playing time at third base until Wendle is able to return, but DFS gamers should avoid him on Friday against Burnes.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
