6 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays placed infielder Joey Wendle on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a wrist fracture and called up infielder Christian Arroyo and reliever Austin Pruitt from Triple-A Durham in corresponding moves. Wendle just returned from the injured list, so this is a tough break for him. He's likely to miss at least a month with his new injury. Brandon Lowe should continue to start every day, and he's become mixed league relevant by hitting .291/.347/.581 with six home runs, 14 runs, 17 RBI and two steals to begin the season.
