Joey Wendle Injured Monday
2 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Joey Wendle (hamstring) was removed from the game early on Monday against the Colorado Rockies due to right hamstring discomfort after sliding into second base. Wendle went 1-for-2 at the plate before he exited the contest in the fourth inning. The 32-year-old has already been on the injured list twice this season due to hamstring issues, so this isn't a good sign. Fantasy managers should be bracing for another absence for Wendle, who came into Monday's game hitting .279/.337/.419 with two round-trippers, 11 RBI, 12 runs scored and four stolen bases in 86 at-bats. Brian Anderson, who is currently dealing with a back injury, and Jon Berti could fill in at the hot corner if Wendle is forced to the IL yet again.
