5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo (oblique) is continuing his workouts at the team's spring training facilities in Arizona, and the goal is for him to return from the injured list next Tuesday when the team is on the road against Detroit. “He is fully swinging, he’s swinging 100 percent,” manager Chris Woodward said. “He doesn’t feel anything. It is probably going to be a week of games or live BP. I think that’s reasonable. We want him back tomorrow but…probably the first game in Detroit.” Gallo still strikes out a lot but has elite power and is hitting a solid .276/.421/.653 with 17 homers, 41 runs, 41 RBI and three steals on the year. He needs to be held in all formats. With Delino DeShields playing well since his return from the minors, Gallo might play left field mostly when he's back.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
