Joe Mixon Struggles On The Run In Week 15
2 years agoCincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon ran for 21 yards off 11 attempts during the 34-23 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. The former Sooner had another hideous performance on the ground, finishing with an atrocious 1.9 yards per carry. Fortunately, he at least got a little something going for fantasy managers by catching five of his six targets for 33 yards. The Bengals offense has plenty of mouths to feed, with Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd also routinely looking for attention from Joe Burrow. That said, since Mixon's magical five-touchdown showing versus the Panthers in early November, the 26-year-old hasn't found the end zone, which has been concerning. Nonetheless, Mixon remains one of the best running backs in the National Football League. But his lack of activity on the run may continue to negatively impact fantasy participants, especially those playing in non-PPR formats. Hopefully, Mixon can turn things around against a tough Patriots defense in Week 16.
