Joe Kelly Nearing His Season Debut
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Joe Kelly (undisclosed) could be getting close to making his season debut after being out since the start of spring training with an undisclosed injury. Kelly has spent the last few weeks at the alternate training site and has made about four appearances. The right-hander is scheduled to toss another inning on Wednesday, according to manager Dave Roberts. The skipper said it's possible that Kelly could be an option on the team's next road trip in Milwaukee later this week. Kelly's return would be huge for a bullpen that just lost Corey Knebel (lat) and David Price (hamstring). He had a 1.80 ERA in 12 regular season appearances in 2020, and he could also be worth a look in leagues that count holds.
