Joc Pederson, Dustin May Recovered From Injuries
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said that outfielder Joc Pederson (hip) and starting pitcher Dustin May (side) are pretty much recovered from the injuries they were nursing when spring training was put on hold, and they should not be limited when action resumes. Pederson had already resumed playing in minor league games. Whenever Opening Day actually comes, both players should be fully healthy. Pederson had a career-high 36 home runs and 74 RBI in 2019 and will remain a nice source of power in deep mixed leagues, but his fantasy ceiling is limited in redraft leagues with him expected to platoon with A.J. Pollock. May, one of the team's top young arms, should eventually be in the team's rotation, but he may begin the year in Triple-A. The right-hander is still an excellent stash in NL-only leagues and should already be owned in dynasty/keeper formats.
