JJ Bleday Hits A Home Run On Sunday
4 years agoMiami Marlins top prospect outfielder JJ Bleday started as the designated hitter in Sunday's Grapefruit League game and went 1-for-2 with a solo home run. Bleday was the Marlins first round pick (fourth overall) in the 2019 draft and fared decently in 38 games at the High-A level that season. He did not play in the shortened 2020 season, but Marlins manager Don Mattingly has already said that a 2021 MLB debut for Bleday is possible. He'll almost certainly begin the year in the minor leagues, but could make some big league noise this season if he plays well. He's worth keeping an eye on mid-season in deeper leagues and should already be rostered in dynasty leagues and leagues with minor league spots.
