Jimmy Nelson Throws Live BP
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson (shoulder) threw live batting practice for the first time this spring on Monday. Nelson was delayed in camp after he felt right forearm discomfort during a bullpen session, but he's making progress once again. If Nelson is healthy for the start of the season, he should have himself a rotation spot after he went 12-6 with a 3.49 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 29 starts before he needed right shoulder surgery in 2017. The right-hander could be a late-round sleeper in deep mixed formats.
