5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (knee) took snaps against the Broncos in a joint practice on Friday for the first time since he tore the ACL in his left knee last September. He threw five straight interceptions in practice on Wednesday but was much better Friday, going 10-for-15 with one interception while moving the offense. Garoppolo will play in the second and third preseason games, but head coach Kyle Shanahan hasn't decided how much Garoppolo will play this Monday. San Fran's offense is improving, but Garoppolo still has a small sample size of NFL starts under his belt and shouldn't be trusted as anything more than a low-end QB2 with upside as he enters the 2019 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
