Jimmy Garoppolo Expected To Be Fine For Training Camp
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (knee) is on schedule in his rehab from a torn ACL last season and should be fully cleared to participate at the start of training camp, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. Garoppolo has been working out on the field and looks to be ready for the offseason program. He's expected to be limited to 7-on-7 drills during organized team activities to reduce the risk of re-injury, but he's on schedule to be on the field for 11-on-11 drills in training camp. Garoppolo has added a little bulk in the offseason in hopes that it'll make him more durable. The 27-year-old played in only three games in 2018 and has yet to play in more than six games in any season of his career. There is a lot of upside in this offense, but fantasy owners will want to draft him as a QB2 with room to grow if he stays healthy.
