Jets Looking to Trade Le'Veon Bell on Tuesday
5 years agoThe New York Jets are reportedly trying to trade starting running back Le'Veon Bell before Tuesday's trade deadline. Bell has only been on the Jets for a half season at this point and is signed to a $52.5 million deal for the next three and a half seasons. A trade would leave $13.19 million worth of dead cap hits over the next two seasons, and $27 million of Bell's contract is guaranteed. It would be surprising to see another team willing to take on that much money, but the Bills, Chiefs, and Texans are teams mentioned as ones who could benefit from a player like Bell. For what it's worth, the Jets reportedly have not received any calls from interested teams just yet. The trade deadline is at 4:00 p.m. ET.
