Jets Hire Nathaniel Hackett As Offensive Coordinator
2 years agoThe New York Jets hired former Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator on Thursday, according to sources. Hackett previously called plays for the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars, where he worked with current Jets head coach Robert Saleh. He was widely revered during his time as the Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator. It's a move that will also fuel more speculation as to whether the Jets will make an attempt to trade for Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason as they look for an upgrade at the position. Hackett was fired midseason in 2022 by the Broncos after a 4-11 record in his first gig as a head coach. In addition to Hackett, the Jets also hired Tennessee Titans offensive line coach Keith Carter to coach that position group and serve as the running-game coordinator.
