Jets Have Big Plans For Chris Herndon
5 years agoThe New York Jets "can't wait to unleash Chris Herndon" in 2020, according to The Athletic's Connor Hughes. Herndon had an impressive 39 catches for 502 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games (12 starts) in his rookie season in 2018, but he played in just one game last year because of injuries and was held to just one catch. The Jets seriously need Herndon to step up in his third year, especially since the team's receiving room leaves a lot to be desired with Breshad Perriman and Jamison Crowder as the top two pass-catchers. The 24-year-old Herndon should be a safety blanket for quarterback Sam Darnold and could surprise many if he stays healthy. He's a solid upside pick as a TE2 late in drafts.
