Jesus Sanchez Starting Rehab Assignment Friday
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jesus Sanchez (hamstring) is beginning a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday night. Barring a setback in game action this weekend, Sanchez figures to come off the injured list and rejoin Miami's lineup sometime early next week. The 25-year-old was initially put on the injured list back on May 14 with a right-hamstring strain, but he was hitting an impressive .290 (20-for-69) with nine doubles, three home runs, 10 RBI, three stolen bases and nine runs scored in 77 trips to the plate and 29 games before his injury. Sanchez is currently only rostered in 2% of Yahoo leagues, so if you're in need of outfield help in deeper mixed leagues, consider picking him up off the waiver wire.
