Jesus Luzardo To Make Rehab Start Friday
2 years agoMiami Marlins left-hander Jesus Luzardo (forearm) is scheduled to make his second minor league rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday, and he's slated to go four innings. In his first rehab outing for Single-A Jupiter on July 16, Luzardo allowed one run while striking out three and walking none in three innings of work. The 24-year-old southpaw has been out with a left forearm strain since May 15, so he's likely to need at least one more rehab outing after Friday's start. Fantasy managers should swoop him up off the waiver wire if he's available, as he had a decent 4.03 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with 41 strikeouts in 29 innings over six starts before his injury.
